It reads the humidity and picks its own speed.

A fixed speed bathroom fan runs flat out whether the room needs it or not. A humidity sensor here sets the speed for you: 30 CFM when the air is dry, 110 CFM after a shower, and 160 CFM when the room is genuinely steamy. The brushless EC motor uses about half the energy of a standard AC motor and is rated for 20,000 to 30,000 hours.
